Community Safety Framework
The Monash community has identified feeling and being safe as essential to health and wellbeing and enjoyment of community life.
Monash Council is committed to continuing to work with our community to keep creating safe neighbourhoods and places and spaces where people feel happy and empowered to lead fulfilling lives.
Council is a leader in developing and delivering innovative and award-winning community safety, crime prevention and preventing violence against women programs and initiatives. A safe Monash will continue to be achieved through collaborative partnerships, innovative solutions and evidence-based practice.
The Community Safety Framework 2022-2026 is the first City of Monash policy statement in relation to community safety. Safety is a major priority for Council and is integrated across Council’s strategic plans.
