Ashwood and Chadstone Community Action Plan

The Ashwood and Chadstone Community Action Plan was developed by Monash Council with input from the local community.

Its aim is to help Ashwood and Chadstone become even better places to live, work and socialise.

The plan has 7 themes:

  • Caring for the environment (through measures such as reducing the loss of trees and holding community education sessions on sustainability issues)
  • Strengthening community pride (which involves reducing graffiti and dumped rubbish on nature strips)
  • Improving local infrastructure (through measures such as reducing traffic congestion and increasing the availability of community meeting room space)
  • Addressing health issues to improve wellbeing
  • Improving information flow and increasing communication across the community
  • Improving actual and perceived safety
  • Enabling learning opportunities and economic development
