It’s that time of year again: Back to the Festival has returned with a vengeance ....and it’s better than ever!

Come down to Central Reserve, Glen Waverley on Sunday 4 March 2012 and rock out with "Eagle and the Worm". Hailing from Melbourne their debut single Futureman, the follow up single- All I Know, and a constant touring schedule has seen the band gain a national identity and growing audience.

This year's festival promises to be colossal, with top quality live music, assorted amusements, prizes and stalls, and best of all, entry to the festival is FREE!

Back to the Festival is organised by Monash's FReeZA youth committee, Quiksound Productions, and is an all ages, free-entry, fully supervised, drug, alcohol and smoke free event.

Looking For Leaders !!

Oakleigh South Guides are currently seeking Leaders for our expanding Girl Guide units.

Leaders must be female and willing to undergo a Working With Children Check.

On being a leader

Being a girl guide leader is a very rewarding volunteer activity. It is wonderful to have an opportunity to assist young girls become independent resourceful young women, leaders in tomorrows society.

It is great to see girls develop as they move through the guiding program. See them gain confidence and a variety of different skills to help them in today's hectic world.

But not only do you enjoy the interaction with the girls, you too, can learn new skills and do new activities all through the one organisation of girl guides.

School Refusal for Parents and Professionals

This is an information session for parents, teachers, youth workers and other professionals which aims to provide them with an understanding of this complex issue. It also offers them a range of stategies they can use to assist young people to go back to school.
