What We Do
The City of Monash, with approximately 172,000 residents, is one of Melbourne's most populous municipalities. It is a cosmopolitan city with almost 40% of its residents coming from more than 30 countries.
Monash has some of Melbourne's best known landmarks within its 82 square kilometers, including Monash University, Waverley Park, the Monash Medical Centre, the Victoria Police Academy and Jells Park.
Monash has a strong commercial activity, over the years Monash has developed a reputation as a " high tech" centre for industry. The Monash Technology Precinct contains some of the nation's most prestigious research organisations.
Over 16,400 workplaces in the City of Monash provide around 90,000 jobs, making our City second only to the Melbourne CBD for employment opportunities.
