Noisy Neighbours

Residential Noise can be the source of much tension among neighbours. The best approach to dealing with noisy neighbours is to talk to them and work out a solution.

Council can help resolve some residential noise issues, however the police are best placed to deal with late night noise from parties or where a noisy neighbour may be drunk or threatening.

The Dispute Settlement Centre of Victoria can also assist people to resolve disputes through mediation.

Both parties to the dispute must be willing to discuss the problem in the presence of a mediator.
