Disability Access and Inclusion Framework and Action Plan 2009 – 2013

The 'Disability Access and Inclusion Framework and Action Plan 2009 – 2013' provides an over arching framework for Council to address the needs and aspirations of members of the diverse Monash community from a whole of Council perspective and to eliminate practices, which are discriminatory towards people with a disability.

Objectives

• To ensure people with a disability are provided with opportunities to access and participate in all facets of community life
• To ensure people with a disability have equitable and safe access to Council premises
• To promote positive attitudes towards people with a disability
• To provide opportunities for Council staff to build competencies on disability issues
