The State Department of Health have developed the Health Guidelines for Personal Care and Body Art Industries.

These guidelines will assist those involved in the personal care and body art industry to comply with the Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2009 by providing information on how infections can be associated with the procedures employed in the industry; and precautions to protect clients and employees.

These guidelines are available at
www.health.vic.gov.au/ideas/regulations/hlth_guidelines or from Council's Public Health Unit.

Council's Public Health Officers regularly inspect all premises throughout the year to ensure that staff are complying with the Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2009.
